The Holidays

I love this time of year with all the eggs, chickens and bunnies. When little children come out in their Sunday best to find goodies hidden across the landscape.

Actually this is an old drawing that I recently decided to paint. I had another idea to do a cityscape painting infront of clouds like these with a warmer tone to it, but decided that a rabbit in front of clouds is just as good. I used Sam's amazing whale painting as a lot of guidance. I am pretty much a hack. Perhaps some day I will eventually find my style. I am like Pinoccio, "Someday I will be a real artist" and yet I still debate whether I should do more of an illustrative approach to this particular piece.

Before the movie comes, out I just wanted to render what the Shade looked like in my head before I am tainted by the casting. After trying to come up with a creepy outfit, I realized that I was just mimicing an older drawing. But this is how I imagined the shade for all it is worth or not worth.
