I think the lips and chin work better from the first one and the eyes and nose work better in the second.
I see her in the left one for sure. On the right it looks like a slightly older version, or something...the way the cheekbones are pushed out. But I do, however, love the technique on both!
I was starting to jones for a post over here! I like how these are both so luminous. Like an old oil painting with lots of glazing and gallery lights. I think you captured part of her essence on the left. The hair making the neck appear so thin is a cool touch.
I agree with everyone here, the left Eva works better, what to say after such pertinent comments?? the painting is perfect on the 2 pieces and once again you've done something outstanding...
Both are great - I prefer the left pic overall - I think the pose and lighting work slightly better. I really like the exaggeration in the right pic though. Good stuff!!!
i agree about the left. . .but great work on both. . . superb lighting
Terrific paintin' Mr. Ford. I really dig the one on the left, nice lighting man!
both of these are freakin sweet!
you got him right on the first try... beautiful work!
I agree, the left one is great!
Pretty Women :)
these are beautiful. there might be more of a likeness in the one on the left like everyone else mentioned but for some reason I really like the one on the right. the eyes are beautiful. nice paintings.
