nice drawing man! Very intimate piece you have here. I just sold one, took me about 4 hours, I charged 100 for it. As long as your customer is happy with the product id say charge whatever you want. How long did this take btw?
An hour and a half, or in Netflix time: two episodes of Psych.
hi Adam, i hope your are doing well, i was one of your student at the bridge, the little french man ! I think you should charge more than 100 dollars. It's not about the time spent on it. I am going to tell you a true story about Picasso. During an event, a lady ask him to do a quick portrait. He was known as a great artist already but the lady was probably very important, so he did the portrait. After few seconds, he gives the portrait to the lady and she said : "That is amazing ! It tooks you only 30 seconds, and it's exactly my portrait !" Picasso said : "It didn't take me 30 seconds... It tooks me 30 years..." So, don't think about how many time, think about the quality of gift.
Next time you or your wife is in the area stop by my house and I've got a new painting/sketch surface/presentation I'd like to give to you. I want to see what you think of it. Dallan
I've come across some less-than-stellar artists charging anywhere from $150 to $300 for a portrait like that, so I think you should charge at least somwhere in that range.
Great classic sketch.
simply beautiful!!! wow great job man!
I wasnt saying charge 100, your work is a ton better than mine, I just wanted to shine some light on what others are doing.
This is really beautiful. I love the light on her hair.
From 200 $ to 300 $...great quality.
$200 to $300. I already have one of you figure drawings hanging up in my house.
Gorgeous. I think $50/hr is a magic number, never less and always more if you can manage :)Hope you are well :)
HI Adam, she's gorgie!!! I love it. I agree with most of your friends... $150-300 depending on the size, quantity of people (family photo?), etc... But like for this drawing, I would pay around $100 or so. If you can mat and frame it for a reasonable price...$175. But I love art and I love to get it framed and hang it. It's beautiful.
Nice charcol pictures Adam.
It's beautiful! I'd say $150 to $300 as well, but I think it's worth so much more. I'd think there would be many people who'd pay $500+. It looks JUST like her. The lighting is WONDERFUL! I think I forgot to mention the "favorite sister" discount.... ;)
you rock man, this is beautiful. I'd say charge $400
wow, this is really lovely. i feel inspired to start using chalk and charcoal more in my work.
beautifully drawn! idk in terms of price though but i would pay a fortune for a beautiful sketch like this.
Amazing work man! Love it!
Beautiful piece. I would check with art agents or galleries in your area for pricing suggestions. Too many anecdotes. I've seen pieces lesser than this go for $25 or $500. I've even seen pieces with a comic book character drawn in this style go for upwards of several thousands of dollars. I'm sure an agent or dealer could provide better answers suited to your situation.
Eight zillion does not sound unreasonable... for such fine work.
Dear AdamI'm doing a task about copyright and I wonder if it's okey for me to use this beautiful girl in my study blog. There will also be a link to your webside. From Cilla in Norway
